The 2 Types of Money Mindsets

I was talking with a family member this week and she was saying that there are 2 kinds of people in the world, givers and takers. I personally think that’s an over simplification of the human race BUT there is definitely truth in that statement.

There are people who are mostly givers and people who are mostly takers. The difference between the two is their money mindset.

Givers have a mindset of abundance. They believe that there’s more than enough to go around so they feel joy when they give. They give out of love and never feel that they are losing or missing out when they give.

Takers have the opposite mindset. Deeply rooted in them is a sense of scarcity. They feel there is not enough to go around so they must hold on to things tightly. Takers are far more likely to become hoarders.

Whatever you put out in the universe, is what you will get in return. If you put out that there is scarcity then you will never have enough. You will always feel that there is a lack of resources, money, etc. However, when you put out feelings of abundance, you will always have enough and giving will never feel like a chore or obligation. You’ll feel pure happiness when you give and it will always come back around to you.

“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” -Winston Churchill
